Harvel is a beautiful village situated in the heart of the Kent countryside. Despite its rural appeal, Harvel is just one hour's commute from central London. Harvel is also in the close proximity of both Gravesend and Maidstone, both large Kentish towns with significant numbers of business, retail and leisure facilities. Harvel is perfectly placed for easy access to a number of other local villages which have a number of dining, social and shopping facilities. Harvel is the perfect blend of rural tranquility that allows easy access to the 'bright lights' for younger generations.

Situated on the top of the North Downs, Harvel is a great location for walking, the village pub has a fine selection of real ales and good food and throughout the summer months Harvel Cricket Club is a vibrant sociable venue with the bar always open. Harvel also has a greyhound rehoming centre and is just 10 minutes drive from Meopham and also Borough Green railway stations.

Harvel Cricket Club plays in the Shepherd Neame Kent League on a Saturday and Kent Village League on a Sunday. The 1st XI now play in Div 3 and the 2nd XI in Div 5 of the 2nd XI league. The Sunday XI now play in Div 2 of the Kent Village Cricket League.
